Safety features.
The i30 N Line features an upgraded version of Hyundai SmartSense™[H2] – our cutting-edge suite of driver safety technologies. Each of those technologies has one thing in common: they’ve been developed to alert you to (and help you avoid) any dangers around you.
Driver Attention Warning (DAW)
At speeds of 64km/h and above, Driver Attention Warning (DAW) uses the windshield-mounted camera to continually monitor the i30’s position in a lane, while also tracking steering, brake pedal use, and time since your last break. When a pattern of fatigue or distraction is identified, the system gets your attention with an alert plus a pop-up message suggesting you take a rest stop.
Forward Collision Warning (FCW).
FCW utilises the front radar sensor and windshield-mounted camera to detect vehicles and pedestrians in front of the i30. If a potential collision is detected, the FCW system will sound an audible warning chime and display a visual warning in the supervision cluster.
High Beam Assist (HBA)
Remembering to turn high beam on and off at night can be easily overlooked. Available as part of the LED headlamp option, the High Beam Assist system recognises oncoming vehicles at night and automatically switches between high and low beam, so you’re always emitting the right light, every time.

Exclusive to the N Line range, the 150kW Gamma 1.6 Turbo-GDI engine delivers sharp throttle response, impressive low-end torque, yet welcome fuel economy. In fact, the N Line range offers 25% more power and 31% more torque compared to the standard 2.0 GDi engine.
7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Choose from three driving modes – Normal, Eco and Sport – so your i30 N Line can best deliver on your immediate driving needs.
Sport mode increases steering weighting and engine response. Coupled with delayed up-shifting, Sport mode also maximises the dynamic driving feel of your i30. Choose Normal mode for a driving experience optimised for typical day to day use, or Eco mode when fuel economy is your top priority.
Sports-tuned suspension
An exclusive, Australian-developed sports suspension tune is applied to the i30 N Line range to deliver a firmer, more dynamic and more playful drive character for better handling around corners and a sharper feel for the road.
7-speed Dual Clutch Transmission (DCT).
Available with the 1.6L diesel and 1.6L petrol turbo engines, the 7-speed computer-controlled DCT combines the fuel efficiency and acceleration of a manual transmission with the ease, simplicity and absence of a clutch pedal of an automatic.
